In order to get selected for the interview Stages of Mckinsey\’s recruitment process, you MUST pass the Mckinsey Problem Solving Tests, also known as Mckinsey PST. That\’s without any exceptions.
Generally, only candidates whose resumes and qualifications matches McKinsey\’s laid down requirements are invited to the \”PST\”.
What you should expect on the Mckinsey PST (The test format)
The test involves mathematical computation, data interpretation and logical thinking and it is most commonly administered on paper. You will be given approximately 26 questions to answer in 60 minutes.
Typically a graphical chart or table of numerical data is presented along with some descriptive text about a company or industry, 4 – 5 questions follow that refer to the chart.
Key requirements:
✔ Business background is NOT needed to take the test
✔ Use pen, pencil or paper is allowed.
✔ Calculators or Computing devices are NOT permitted.
